Uses the Nursing process to plan, implement, direct and evaluate patient care to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Works collaboratively with all other disciplines on assigned unit.

Requirements

  • Current registration in New York State as an RN, Diploma and Licensure required.
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • BSN Required.
  • 1 - 2 years Critical Care experience strongly preferred.
  • 1 - 2 years med surg experience preferred.
  • Ventilator &/or telemetry experience preferred.
  • Current BLS required
  • Current ACLS preferred or successful completion of ACLS prior to end of orientation required.
  • CCRN certification preferred.
  • Med-Surg certification preferred.
  • Excellent organization, communication and interpersonal skills are needed.
