The film is being presented at the American Film Market (AFM) alongside two other exciting projects: 'The Nut Job 3' and 'MegaRacer,' a sci-fi racing adventure currently in post-production. It's worth noting that the 'Nut Job' franchise has already achieved significant global success, raking in over $200 million across its first two installments, proving RedRover's ability to create commercially viable animated entertainment.
'Rainmakers' tells the story of an unlikely alliance between an orphan and a princess. Together, they team up with a group of outcasts to fight against a powerful corporation that threatens their world. And this is the part most people miss: music isn't just a backdrop; it's integral to the plot, with K-Pop’s vibrant aesthetic and high-energy performances woven throughout both the narrative and the film's visual design. The story unfolds on Planet Nero, where action and adventure are set to original K-pop songs created by a yet-to-be-named K-Pop producer.

Lee Seok-hoon's involvement is a major draw, as he's one of South Korea's most successful directors. His impressive filmography includes the action-packed sequel 'Confidential Assignment 2: International,' which was a box office hit in Korea in 2022, and 'The Himalayas,' which dominated the local box office for three straight weeks. He's also directed the historical adventure 'The Pirates' and the romantic comedy 'Dancing Queen,' showcasing his diverse range. But here's where it gets controversial... some might argue that his experience lies primarily in live-action films, raising questions about whether he's the best fit for an animated K-Pop spectacle.

In addition to 'Rainmakers,' RedRover is also working on 'The Nut Job 3,' which will feature familiar faces along with new characters. The story will focus on Surly's daughter, Hazel, and explore the complexities of their father-daughter relationship as they face challenges and confront an old enemy, Raccoon, seeking revenge.
'MegaRacer' offers a completely different experience, set during a rare celestial event that occurs only once every eight years. During this time, racers compete across time and space, driven by the pursuit of glory and mysterious powers.
RedRover's journey began in 2004 as a 3D stereoscopic tech company before evolving into an animation production house. And this is the part most people miss: RedRover's initial focus on 3D technology likely gives them a unique edge in creating visually stunning animation. Their previous works include 'Spark,' which featured a star-studded voice cast including Jessica Biel, Hilary Swank, Susan Sarandon, and Patrick Stewart, as well as the series 'Bolts & Blip' and 'Bubble Bubble Marin.'
